Ducanville’s Roderick Daniels Jr Commits to the Baylor Bears

Roderick Daniels Jr

On Sunday we saw Duncanville’s top receiver last season commit to Baylor University. Roderick Daniels Jr is a 5’9, 160-pound wide receiver who was a major contributor to the Duncanville Panthers to 15-1 record last season.

Just give him the ball. Last season he had 47 receptions for 749 yards and seven touchdowns, as well as 34 carries for 557 yards and six touchdowns. Like many of the football players at Duncanville High School, Daniels is a track athlete as well. He runs the 100-meter dash and relay races for the Panthers.

The Baylor Bears won Roderick’s talents over schools like Arkansas, SMU and Boise State. Overall he had 26 offers according to 247Sports, and easily could find himself with more with a strong 2020 season. He is currently ranked as the No. 758 overall prospect in the Class of 2021, the No. 113 overall wide receiver, and the 105th overall prospect in the state of Texas.

Roderick Daniels makes for the 11th member for Baylor’s 2021 recruiting class after picking up Tate Williams yesterday. He will also join the No. 11 dual threat quarterback in the nation; Kyron Drones from Shadow Creek High School in Pearland. The Baylor Bears currently have the 2nd best recruiting class in the Big-12 for the Class of 2021.
