Former Five-Star OT Wanya Morris Transfers to University of Oklahoma

Tennessee Volunteer fans hopefully are set for a roller coaster ride over the next few months (probably years). Shortly after the school announced their decision to fire head coach Jeremy Pruitt, Wanya Morris tweeted where he will be heading to. Morris was the second best recruit in Pruitt’s time with the Vols, and one of the best in school history.

After being in the transfer portal for roughly a month he announced that he will be transferring to the University of Oklahoma. The Sooners have been, one of, if not the best at building NFL ready offensive lineman over the past decade. Orlando Brown, Creed Humphrey and Cody Ford are just a few names that have recently headed off to the NFL.

Wanya Morris joins a very talented 2021 haul from the Sooners. Not only will he partner with fellow five-star OT Savion Byrd, he will also be blocking for five-star QBs Spencer Rattler or Caleb Williams. Oklahoma’s recruiting class ranks No. 1 in the Big-12 and 10th overall in the nation according to 247Sports.

Morris was a five-star tackle from Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia. Grayson High School is one of the nation’s powerhouse football programs and has produced players like Robert Nkemdiche, Wayne Gallman and Jake Garcia. The Rams are currently MaxPreps’ No. 2 football team in the nation.
