Four-Star DE Tunmise Adeleye Commits to Texas A&M

Tunmise Adeleye

It has been yet another impactful National Signing Day, and Tunmise Adeleye looked to cap it off Wednesday night. The four-star defensive end announced via Instagram live that he will be committing to Texas A&M University over schools like Florida and Alabama.

Tunmise Adeleye is a four-star defensive tackle from Katy, Texas and plays football for Katy Tompkins High School. Ohio State, Texas, Oregon, and many more all offered the talented defensive lineman, but it was a battle of SEC schools in the end. Adeleye’s relationship with Terry Price, and the Jimbo Fisher coaching staff was a huge reason they won over his commitment.

After a wild beginning to the 2020 football season, Tunmise decided to opt-out due to COVID-19 health concerns. He would originally transfer to IMG Academy to play football, but returned back to Houston after the pandemic broke out.

His 6’4, 250-pound frame is already impressive, but has room to hold even more weight comfortably. Scouts love his high motor along with his long arms and athleticism, and should be an interesting recruit for Jimbo FIsher.  Adeleye is set to graduate this month from high school and enroll into A&M by January.

The Aggies now have several talented edge rushers in their 2021 recruiting cycle, including five-star defensive end Shemar Turner from DeSoto, Texas. Denton Guyer quarterback Eli Stowers and North Shore offensive weapon Shadrach Banks headline the Aggies offensive recruits. This now gives Texas A&M the No. 5 recruiting class in the SEC and No. 14 overall in 2021.
