Oregon Lands 4-Star Offensive Tackle Kingsley Suamataia

Kingsley Suamataia

Mario Cristobal continues to show that he is one of the best recruiters in the nation, specifically on the west coast. Oregon just landed their 19th commitment of the 2021 recruiting cycle. Kingsley Suamataia is a 6’5, 288-pound offensive tackle out of Orem High School in Orem, Utah.

We saw Suamataia name his top 7 schools earlier last month, a list that included schools like USC, BYU, Utah, and of course Oregon. He also held offers from schools like LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin. According to 247Sports he is the No. 10 overall offensive tackle in the Class of 2021, and the top recruit in the state of Utah.

Oregon’s 2021 recruiting cycle has already been one of the best in the nation. After their newest commitment, they now have the 3rd overall class , and the best within the Pac-12. In a recruiting class headlined by five-star WR, Troy Franklin, Suamataia is the third highest recruit to commit to Oregon this year.

Tuesday afternoon Kingsley Suamataia announced via Twitter that he would be committing to the Oregon Ducks. Utah top recruit in 2016, Penei Sewell, tweeted out to Duck Nation to show Oregon’s newest commitment some love.

Sewell is currently my top prospect in the 2021 NFL Draft class, and recently opted out of this years college football season. He is the most NFL ready prospect in this draft class, and could be the best offensive tackle prospect in quite some time. Coach Cristobal and the rest of the Duck’s staff can only hope Kingsley Suamataia will carry on the trend of top tier offensive linemen coming out of Eugene.
