Missouri Lands Sam Horn – No. 6 Pro-Style QB in the Class of ’22

Sam Horn

If you are a Missouri Tigers fan, I have some cool news for you. Four-star quarterback Sam Horn announced that he will be committing to the University of Missouri Sunday afternoon. Horn has been one of the nation’s top dual-sport athletes and announced via Twitter that he will be playing baseball and football for the Tigers.

Sam Horn is a 6’4, 190-pound quarterback from Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, GA. He is currently the No. 6 pro-style quarterback in the Class of 2022, and the No. 9 player in the state of Georgia. He is teammates with Travis Hunter, a five-star CB currently committed to Florida State.

After visiting the school a few weeks back Horn felt extremely comfortable with the Tigers. Him and current Mizzou commit Max Whisner toured the school together. The Tigers have recruited Sam pretty much since Day 1, and the visit sealed the deal for him. He credits the family type atmosphere and the relationship Eli Drinkwitz and his father were able to build as reasons why he committed to Missouri.

While over 16 schools offered Sam Horn a scholarship there were two schools that stood out the most. Those schools would be Tennessee and Missouri. Drinkwitz proved the best of a struggling Tennessee program knabbing yet another big name.

Missouri’s 2022 recruiting class is now 14th in the country with the addition of Sam Horn. His commitment gives Drinkwitz his fifth commitment thus far. He joins four-star safety Isaac Thompson and four-star athlete Ja’Marion Wayne.
