The Sooners hype train is starting to gain plenty of traction after the latest waves of transfers they picked up. Not only were they able to pick up Eric Gray, but they also added a former five-star prospect in Wanya Morris. Oklahoma finished with the 11th overall recruiting class of 2021 which included names like Caleb Williams and Billy Bowman. Now it looks like the Sooners will be carrying that momentum into their 2022 recruiting class.
Late Friday night Raleek Brown announced he will be committing to the University of Oklahoma via social media. Brown had offers from 35 schools, and was considered a USC lean by some. He narrowed his choices down to USC, Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, LSU and of course Oklahoma.
Brown stands 5’8 and currently weighs 185-pounds. He plays for one of California’s best football powerhouses, Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. USC commits Raesjon Davis and Domani Jackson are just some of the talented names across the Monarchs roster.
Brown said he liked how Oklahoma is set up, and that the Sooners offense is the best in the country. Those were some of the main reasons why the Cali-native wants to move all the way to Norman, Oklahoma. Lincoln Riley should have plenty of fun thinking of ways to use the versatile running back. Not only is Raleek Brown a threat in the run game; he is a threat in the passing game too. Receivers coach, Dennis Simmons, has talked to Brown about just how he plans on using him as a receiving threat.
Currently the Sooners have the 5th ranked recruiting class of 2022. Four-star wide receivers Luther Burden, Jordan Hudson and Talyn Shettron are also currently committed to the Sooners. Between the 2021 and 2022 recruiting classes alone Oklahoma’s offensive dominance shouldn’t be slowing down anytime soon.
