The University of Michigan has been hot on the recruiting trail over the past few weeks. Just days after landing four-star safety Zeke Berry for their ‘22 recruiting class the Wolverines have landed one of the top prospects in the Class of 2023. Wednesday evening four-star linebacker Raylen Wilson announced he will be committing to Michigan over the Georgia Bulldogs.
Raylen Wilson is a four-star linebacker out of Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Florida. The junior linebacker already stands 6’2, weighs in at 213-pounds and is currently the No. 14 prospect in Florida. 247Sports also has him ranked as the 6th best linebacker in the Class of 2023.
Wilson had offers from plenty of top programs and back in September we saw him shed his list to five schools. Those schools were Oregon, Auburn, Georgia, Penn State and of course Michigan. He later would shed that list to his top two schools which were Michigan and Georgia. Defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald and linebackers coach George Helow were the difference in Raylen’s recruiting battle though.
This is Jim Harbaugh’s fourth commitment in the Class of 2023; most of which have come after their win over Ohio State. Two weeks ago we saw Joel Starlings commit to Michigan and last week Semaj Morgan joined him. Michigan is a little over three weeks away from facing off against No. 3 Georgia in the College Football Playoff.
