Here at afootballaddict.com, the action never stops. Even when it is 9:00 PM on a Friday night, and Clinton Burton Jr is exactly why that is.
Friday night 4-star cornerback, Clinton Burton Jr flipped his commitment from the University of Florida to Boston College. This makes Burton Jr. Boston College’s highest ranked recruit in program history.
On September 1st of last year, Burton announced his commitment to the University of Florida. He is a 5’11, 170-pound cornerback from Baltimore, Maryland and currently plays at St. Frances Academy.
While 247Sports has him ranked as the No. 20 overall cornerback, ESPN has him ranked as high as the No. 5 overall cornerback in the nation. Burton is just the fourth ESPN 300 commitment Boston College has ever gotten since ESPN started it’s rankings back in 2009.
This gives the Eagles their 18th commitment for the class of 2021 and the 29th overall recruiting class according to 247Sports. Clinton Burton looks to build a legacy of his own at Boston College, and is going to be a great building piece for the Eagles defense going forward.
