For the second time this week Tennessee has landed the commitment of a 5-star prospect. Last weekend we saw 5-star defensive end, Dylan Brooks, commit to the Vols over schools like LSU, Alabama and Oregon. He now has a partner in crime in rushing the passer with Terrence Lewis committing.
Lewis is a 6’1, 200-pound outside linebacker and viewed as the No. 1 outside linebacker in the nation. 247Sports has him as the No. 2 player in Florida and the No. 10 player in the Class of 2021.
He is a Miami, Florida native and played football for Miami Northwestern High School. The Bulls captured another 5A Florida state title in 2019, where Lewis registered 105 total tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, nine sacks and even three interceptions.
After signing a pair of 5-star offensive tackles in 2019, Brooks and Lewis make for the first defensive 5-stars to commit under Jeremy Pruitt. According to 247Sports composite rankings, Lewis is Tennessee’s highest rated recruit since getting Eric Berry in 2007.
Jeremy Pruitt could be reeling in one of the best recruiting classes in Tennessee school history. The Vols have been piling on talent in their 2021 recruiting cycle with names like Julian Nixon, Kamar Wilcoxson, and Dylan Brooks.
