For the second time in less than two weeks Auburn has received a commitment from North Shore High School in Houston Texas. Wednesday afternoon Jaeden Roberts announced he will be joining his QB, Dematrius Davis, and attending Auburn University.
Jaeden is North Shore’s best offensive lineman, and was a key piece in their state championship run. Standing 6’5, 340-pounds, Roberts already is built for SEC play and should be a great addition to Guz Malzahn’s offense.
He is a 4-star prospect, and is currently listed as the No. 8 OG in the Class of 2021. Roberts is a Top-30 player in the state of Texas and in the Top 150 nationally. Auburn won the talented guard over schools like LSU, Oklahoma State and, in state rival Alabama.
Auburn is slowly pushing its way up the recruiting ranks, jumping four spots up to No. 20 overall with Jaeden Roberts commitment. This gives the Tigers their 5th commitment in less than two weeks.
The Tigers have really made an emphasis on recruiting the offensive line recently. They have already signed three offensive tackles in the Class of 2021, one being 4-star Caleb Johnson, and have signed four offensive linemen in back to back recruiting cycles.
This marks the fourth time in two seasons that Auburn has gone into the Lone Star State and pluck talent out of the state. What else should we expect from first year offensive coordinator Chad Morris?
