Davian Groce Commits to Florida Over Oklahoma & Baylor

In a standout recruiting victory for Billy Napier and the Florida Gators, four-star athlete Davian Groce has officially committed to Florida, solidifying another high-impact acquisition for the 2026 recruiting class. The 6’1, 190-pound dynamo from Lone Star High School in Frisco, Texas, selected the Gators over finalists Oklahoma, Baylor, and Houston.
Groce arrives as one of the most electrifying athletes in the class. A versatile offensive weapon, he notched an exceptional 2024 season, amassing 25 total touchdowns as a receiver, rusher, and return specialist—including 691 rushing yards and eight touchdowns, 47 receptions for 716 yards and five receiving scores, plus multiple return TDs.
Florida’s win here carries added weight. Groce is not only the No. 4-ranked athlete in the 2026 class and a top recruit in Texas, but he also becomes Florida’s highest-rated commitment from the Lone Star State in this cycle.
His blend of size, speed, and play-making instincts doesn’t stop on the gridiron—Groce also claimed the Class 5A state championship in the 200-meter dash, with a blazing wind-aided time of 20.52 seconds.
