The University of Georgia has had its fair share of elite defensive tackle talent come through the school. Whether its Trenton Thompson or latest 5-star defensive tackle, Travon Walker, the Bulldogs have produced monsters along the defensive line. On Wednesday morning Georgia got to add another name to that list with Bear Alexander committing to the University.
Bear Alexander is a four-star defensive tackle from Denton Ryan High School in Denton, Texas. He was one of the main contributors to one of the best defensive units in the country. The Raiders were able to complete a perfect 15-0 season on their way to capturing the Texas 5A-I State Title.
As of Wednesday morning Alexander held 29 D1 scholarship offers. Some of the schools he was considering were Miami, Alabama, TCU, Texas A&M, and Ohio State. In January he accepted his invitation to the Under Armour All-American game, and will be playing if COVID-19 permits.
He will join an already loaded 2022 Georgia Class. It features names like Gunner Stockton, Deyon Bouie, and C.J. Washington. Stockton and Bouie are both currently ranked as the No. 1 and No. 2 players at their positions respectively. Currently they are ranked No. 1 in the SEC and 2nd overall behind Ohio State.
