The Crimson Tide just received their second five-star commitment of the ‘22 recruiting cycle. Just a few weeks after landing Ty Simpson, Nick Saban has continued the pressure on the recruiting trail. Earlier Saturday afternoon in-state product Emmanuel Henderson announced he will be committing to the University of Alabama.
Henderson is a five-star running back out of Hartford, Alabama. He plays for Geneva County High School and currently stands 6’1, 185-pounds. Last season Emmanuel Henderson rushed for 1,996 yards, 32 touchdowns, and caught another four touchdowns. That athleticism comes out on the basketball court and on track as well.
He has 17 offers from all the elite names in the nation. His top-10 included schools like Clemson Tigers, Auburn, LSU and of course Alabama. Saban’s staff has made Emmanuel one of the top priorities for their’22 recruiting class, and has been pushing for him for over a year now. After his commitment Henderson stated that Alabama just felt like home, and the school “as a whole” was amazing.
As mentioned earlier Emmanuel Henderson is now the 2nd five-star commitment for the Crimson Tide joining Ty Simpson. He makes for the fifth commitment so far, and gives Alabama a major boost in the ‘22 rankings. This also gives Saban and the Tide a five-star running back in back to back classes. After the immense amount of talent they just recruited on the offensive line in 2021, it is no surprise why Henderson would want to play here.
