After a long awaited journey the last high rated recruit in the Class of 2021 has finally found a home. Five-star defensive lineman J.T Tuimoloau announced on Fourth of July that he has committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes.
J.T Tuimoloau is the No. 3 recruit in the Class of 2021, and the No. 1 player in the state of Washington. He plays football and basketball for Eastside Catholic High School in Sammamish, Washington. At nearly 6’5, 277-pounds it is very surprising how well J.T. can move.
He holds 24 offers, but recently narrowed his list down to four schools. Oregon, Ohio State, Washington and USC. After taking visits to each campus JTT made his decision to join the No. 2 class of the 2021 cycle. He will also being pursing basketball and football at Ohio State.
The Ohio State Buckeyes already have defensive prospects like Jack Sawyer, Jakailin Johnson, and Reid Carrico. With J.T Tuimoloau’s commitment the Buckeyes now have the No. 1 and No. 2 prospects in the state of Washington. Emeka Egbuka has been committed to the Buckeyes since mid December and even enrolled into classes in January.
Now you can potentially pair J.T. Tuimoloau with Tyreke Smith & Garret Haskell, two of the top defensive lineman in the Big-Ten. You can also look at the Buckeyes 2022 recruiting class and you start to really imagine another elite defense in the making. C.J. Hicks & Gabe Powers are some of the top outside linebackers in the country. Omari Abor is also another recruit that is highly favoring the Buckeyes currently and is one of the top edge rushers in the class.
