Here comes Jimbo Fisher & the Aggies. On Saturday Texas A&M once again landed another historical recruit for their football program. On Twitter Anthony Hill Jr. announced he will be committing to the Aggies becoming the highest rated LB to ever commit there. He was down to the Aggies & the Longhorns so this win is even sweeter for Jimbo Fisher & Co.
Anthony Hill Jr. is a five-star linebacker out of Denton Ryan High School in Denton, Texas. He is regarded as the top linebacker in the Class of 2023, and is a Top-2 prospect in Texas. As you would expect he holds over 30 offers but took official visits to Texas, Alabama, Oklahoma and A&M before his commitment. The Ryan Raiders have been one of Texas’ best high school over the past decade producing talents like Ja’Tavion Sanders, Billy Bowman, Austin Jordan, Spencer Sanders & more.
Many people have been waiting for A&M to do something for the 2023 cycle. With Anthony Hill Jr. ‘s commitment, the Aggies now have six commits in the bag which is still pretty lackluster compared to many other top programs. Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas and Clemson have all made mega splashes this offseason rising up the recruiting ranks quickly.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this sparks a huge run for Texas A&Mβs recruiting class. A&M currently is wrapping up their β23 Pool Party that featured some surprise names such as Malachi Nelson & Zach Branch. Other big names were in attendance like Shelton Sampson Jr., Dalton Brooks, TJ Shanahan Jr. & David Hicks. Many of them are still uncommitted, favoring the Aggies, so I donβt feel A&M fans have too much to worry about just yet.
