The Miami Hurricanes just landed one of the top quarterbacks in the Class of 2023. Five-star quarterback Jaden Rashada just announced via CBS Sports that he will be committing to the Hurricanes. Rashada chose Miami over schools like Oregon, Ole Miss, and Florida.

Jaden Rashada is a five-star quarterback from Pittsburg, California. He plays for Pittsburg High School and is currently ranked as the No. 7 quarterback in the ‘23 class according to the 247Sports composite. Rashada had one of the more popular offseason recruitments as his visit pictures would often go viral on social media. 32 schools offered Jaden to play for their school but he was able to narrow his list down to Florida, Ole Miss, LSU, Oregon, Texas A&M and of course, Miami.
This is a huge get for the Miami Hurricanes for many reasons. First off, Jaden Rashada gives the Hurricanes an answer at quarterback through 2025. Rashada is also one of the top prospects on the whole other side of the US in Cali. Being able to grab a West Coast kid like him proves Mario Cristobal still has strong ties over there. Also similarly to the Arch Manning effect down in Austin, kids will be more eager to commit to Miami now they have an elite QB prospect along for the ride.
Overall this is one of the most exciting times in the past two decades to be a Hurricane fan. Cristobal has already delivered on a lot of off the field promises and the fun hasn’t even begun yet.
