As expected, the Aggie hype-train is beginning to roll. Just hours after landing one of the top prospects in school history, A&M has landed another commit. Four-star athlete Dalton Brooks announced via Twitter that he will be committing to Texas A&M University.
Dalton Brooks is a four-star athlete for Shiner High School in Shiner, Texas. Brooks plays running back, wide receiver, and defensive back for the Comanches and has helped them to a 30-game win streak they will put on the line this season. He runs track, and competes in the long & triple jump as well. Last season he was able to rush for over 2,600 yards and 39 touchdowns while also taking plenty of snaps on defense and special teams. It’s safe to see why he has 22 offers from schools like Alabama & Ohio State.
The Aggies now leap nearly 20 spots in the Class of 2023 recruiting class rankings according to On3. Many were wondering when the ball would start rolling for A&M as they only had five commits in the boat prior to Saturday evening. Teams like Clemson, Alabama, and Texas have all been making major surges this offseason for their 2023 class. It now seems though that Jimbo Fisher & the Aggies have found their groove.
Major prospects like T.J. Shanahan Jr. & Hykeem Williams are still heavily favoring the Aggies and could be adding to this class very soon. While Texas A&M is still well below teams like Texas, Tennessee or even South Carolina but it is obvious that the momentum is starting to swing. That isn’t even factoring in the possibility of a Malachi Nelson flip either (I personally don’t see it happening). I think very soon we will see Texas A&M crack the Top-10 for the 2023 cycle.
