One thing Nick Saban certainly can do is recruit, especially when it matters most. His latest commitment is a test to that as he just landed recent Florida decommit, Isaiah Bond. The Georgia prospect announced via CBS Sports HQ that he will be committing to the University of Alabama earlier Tuesday.
Roughly two weeks ago Isaiah Bond decommitted from the University of Florida after they parted ways with Dan Mullen. He had been committed to the Gators since May, but decided to open up his commitment and confirm his options.
He first received his offer back in March, and took an official visit to Tuscaloosa in June. He also visited Florida, and Miami and Texas. It wasn’t till he took an unofficial visit to Alabama on November 20th that things started getting interesting though. The day Bond decommitted he also received two crystal balls in favor of Bama from 247Sports.
Isaiah Bond is a four-star athlete out of Buford High School in Buford, Georgia. He plays both sides of the ball for the Wolves but will most likely be a receiver at the next level. Bond also competes in multiple track events for the Wolves. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 2 athlete in the Class of 2022 and a top-10 prospect in Georgia. He is also teammates with another Alabama commit Jake Pope who is a three-star safety.
