The Texas A&M Aggies 2022 recruiting class is really starting to beef up. After their latest commitment from four-star cornerback Bobby Taylor, the Aggies now have seven commits for 2022. Taylor announced his decision via Instagram Live Wednesday afternoon.
Bobby Taylor is a cornerback for Katy High School in Katy, Texas. Taylor already is built for college standing 6’1 and weighing 180-pounds. Over 30 schools have offered him a scholarship including teams like Alabama, LSU and Notre Dame. Ultimately the top three schools that Taylor picked from were Texas, Michigan and of course Texas A&M.
Katy High School is coming off their 9th State title victory after beating Cedar Hill 51-14. Taylor is one of the many highly touted recruits on the Tigers defense. Four-star defensive end Malick Sylla is committed to the Aggies too. Three-star inside linebacker Ty Kana recently committed to the USC Trojans.
Texas A&M now has the 4th overall recruiting class in 2022 and the No. 3 class in the SEC. This is now Jimbo Fisher’s second class in a row that is loaded on the defensive side of the ball. The Class of 2021 was also the 7th best in the country and 4th in the SEC. Five-star DL Shemar Turner headlined the class along with Tunmise Adeleye.
After surprising many last year by finishing in the AP Poll’s Top 4; it looks like the Aggies are looking to kick things up a notch in College Station. With the University of Texas picking up steam as well Texas recruiting is going to get intense.
