Four-Star Cornerback Daylen Everette Commits to Clemson

Daylen Everette Commits to Clemson

Earlier this evening the Clemson Tigers went into Florida and landed a commitment from four-star safety Keon Sabb. Dabo Swinney wasn’t done there though. Not too long after Sabb’s commitment the Tigers saw fellow IMG teammate Daylen Everette announce his commitment to Clemson.

Daylen Everette is a four-star cornerback out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He stands 6’1, 185-pounds and is ranked as the No. 7 cornerback in the Class of 2022. According to 247Sports Everette is the No. 6 player in the state of Florida, and the Tigers highest rated commit thus far. Before transferring to IMG Academy Everette played for Norview High School where he had 11 interceptions as a sophomore.

He held nearly 30 offers, including names like Alabama, Florida, and North Carolina. Daylen Everette took three official visits to North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida State during the month of June. Clemson was the only school Everette was not able to visit before his commitment, but it looks like that didn’t matter.

Just hours before committing to Clemson, four-star safety Keon Sabb announced his commitment to Clemson as well. Sabb is teammates with Daylen at IMG Academy and is also a Top-10 recruit in the state of Florida. Fellow IMG teammate Jihaad Campbell has been committed to the Tigers since late June, and makes for three commits all on the same defense for Clemson.

The Clemson Tigers look like they have finally gotten into the swing of things for this recruiting cycle. The two defensive backs the Tigers just landed give them now four 4-star defensive backs. Sherrod Covil & Toriano Pride announced their commitments last month just one day apart.
