Four-Star Cornerback Jaylon Guilbeau Commits to TCU

Jaylon Guilbeau

Back in July one of the top cornerbacks in the 2022 recruiting cycles, Jaylon Guilbeau, decommitted from the University of Texas. He was one of the first commitments for the Longhorns in the Class for 2022, and committed back when Tom Herman was head coach for Texas. Nearly two months later and Guilbeau has now found a new home.

Jaylon Guilbeau announced on Sunday that he will be committing to TCU. This is a huge in-state win for the Horned Frogs as Guilbeau was still seriously considering Texas and Texas A&M. According to 247Sports he is the No. 13 cornerback in the nation, and a Top-100 prospect in the Class of 2022. He plays cornerback for Port Arthur Memorial High School where he also competes in track and field.

This is now the Horned Frogs highest rated recruit in their ‘22 recruiting class. Jaylon joins recruits like DJ Allen, and Matthew Golden atop the list of recruits in the boat for TCU. He is also the 10th highest rated recruit to commit to TCU if his commitment sticks. His relationship with Coach Modkins & Coach Gonzales were big factors in committing to TCU, as well as his desire to play for a defensive legend like Gary Patterson.
