Four-Star DL Jason Moore Picks Ohio State over Notre Dame & Michigan

The Ohio State Buckeyes have skyrocketed in the 2023 recruiting rankings recently. With commitments from Brandon Inniss & Carnell Tate the Buckeyes are in position to land the No. 1 class in 2023. Four-star defensive lineman Jason Moore just officially put Ohio State in the lead with his commitment Sunday evening. This is a huge win for the Buckeyes nation as he was heavily considering Big-Ten rivals such as Penn State & Michigan

Jason Moore is a four-star defensive lineman out of Hyattsville, Maryland. He is a multisport athlete for DeMatha High School which just so happens to be the same high school Chase Young went to. He has over 20 offers but took visits to Notre Dame, Michigan, Penn State & Ohio State before making his commitment.

As mentioned earlier this now gives the Buckeyes the No. 1 recruiting class in the 2023 cycle. They just barely nudged Notre Dame out of the top spot by 1 point as the two have flip flopped often recently. Moore obviously is a huge win for his talent, but it also keeps him away from the Fighting Irish. The battle for the No. 1 class will be very tight this year as teams like Texas, Clemson, and Tennessee are all surging heavily as well.

In this No. 1 class the Buckeyes have three No. 1 prospects from three states, and have taken commits out of eight total. Moore joins prospects like Dijon Johnson, Calvin Simpson-Hunt, and Kayin Lee to give Ohio State a very balanced class offensive/defensive. He is only the second defensive lineman to commit, but they are still in hot pursuit of a handful of guys still on the market.
