Monday afternoon the Oregon Ducks defense added another promising recruit to their defense. Four-star linebacker T.J Dudley announced that he would be committing to the University of Oregon on CBS Sports HQ. Dudley is now the highest rated recruit the Ducks have landed in the 2022 cycle.
T.J Dudley plays for Montgomery Catholic High School in Montgomery, Alabama. 247Sports has him listed as the No. 23 linebacker in the Class of 2022, and the No. 9 recruit in the state of Alabama. He has nearly 30 offers and picked the Ducks over Alabama and UCF. Dudley said that the communication that the Oregon staff had with him and his family was a big reason why he committed to the school. He talked to the staff pretty much everyday, and Coach Cristobal was even there at the airport to greet him when he came for his visit.
This now gives Oregon 10 commitments for the Class of 2022. T.J. is now joining four-star safeties Trejon Williams and Landon Hullaby, and four-star defensive lineman Gracen Halton. He also joins the No. 10 recruit in Alabama, Tanner Bailey, who has been committed to the Ducks since March.
Oregon’s defense has been extremely impressive as of late, and has been able to develop plenty of NFL Draft picks. In the Class of ‘21 the Ducks were able to land players like Keith Brown, Jaylin Davies, and Avante Dickerson in a recruiting class ranked in the Top-Six. Factor in players like Noah Sewell, and Justin Flowe who are already on campus and the Ducks are now looking like one of the best recruiting staffs in the nation.
