The University of Oregon has gone into Texas yet again and plucked out one of the top recruits in the Dallas area. Thursday evening four-star offensive tackle Cameron Williams announced his commitment to the Oregon Ducks. This comes just hours after four-star wide receiver from Katy High School, Nicholas Anderson, announced his commitment to the Ducks as well.
Cameron Williams is a 6’6, 350-pound offensive lineman from Texas highschool powerhouse Duncanville High School. He is listed as one of the Top-75 recruits in Texas, and holds offers from schools Miami (FL), Oklahoma, Georgia & Michigan. Cam has the ability to play offensive tackle or guard, but projects more as a tackle in my eyes. For someone his size he moves extremely well, and his frame gives him limitless potential for Coach Cristobal. Before making his commitment Williams visited Oregon, Oklahoma, Texas, and Miami (FL) throughout the month of June.
This is now the fourth commitment the Ducks have pulled out of the Lonestar state. Stephon Johnson, Landon Hullaby, and Nicholas Anderson are all prospects from Texas that are in the boat for Oregon. Three-star offensive tackle Michael Wooten also announced his commitment to Oregon on July 1st.
Just last week we saw four-star linebacker T.J Dudley commit to Oregon over Alabama and UCF. Dudley is a Top-ten recruit in the state of Alabama, and is currently the highest rated recruit in the class. Mario Cristobal once again is building an overall stacked recruiting class. With talent projected to be added all through out the roster it is no surprise they are currently No. 1 in the Pac-12 for the Class of 2022.
