Wednesday afternoon the TCU Horned Frogs landed one of the top running backs in Texas. Four-star running back Cameron Cook announced his commitment to the Horned Frogs via social media. According to my sources he had actually been silently committed since his official visit, but wanted to finish out his other visits before making things public. This was reassured through On3’s Sam Spiegelman here.

As time went on, it got clear that was the place that I wanted to be. The people who really wanted me bad started to reach out more. TCU has been the same since Day 1 when they offered me and they’ve only built it up.
Cameron Cook is a four-star running back out of Round Rock, Texas. Cook is a multi-sport athlete at Stony Point High School where he not only plays football but also competes in the 4×100 relay & long jump. 14 schools offered but Cook recently narrowed his list down to California, Texas and TCU.
This is a huge commitment for the Horned Frogs if you ask me. Cameron Cook is a do it all running back who should be very fun to watch in Dykes/Riley’s offense. Also considering after missing out on Rueben Owens II, this gives TCU the same type of running back for this class. Not to mention the big offensive line Eron Hodges & Bryan Carrington have helped put together filled with Dallas talent.
I would expect TCU to still be in the market to add one more running back along side Cameron Cook. They have missed out on backs like Marquise Collins, and Kalib Hicks as of late but still have a long ways till Signing Day.
