Texas Longhorns fans received some rather good news late Monday night. Four-star running back Jamarion Miller announced via social media that he would be committing to the University of Texas.
With nearly 30 offers on the table Miller only visited three schools before making his commitment. Florida, and Texas A&M, of course the University of Texas. After Miller completed all his visits 247Sports reported that he was favoring the Longhorns, and it looks like that was a fact.
Jamarion Miller is the No. 2 running back in Texas, and currently stands 5’10, 185-pounds. He plays football and runs track for Tyler Legacy High School in Tyler, Texas. His speed helps him average over nine yards a carry, but he also runs harder than you’d expect. During his junior campaign Jamarion rushed for 1,631 yards and scored 28 touchdowns.
This now gives the Longhorns the No. 1 & No. 2 running backs in the state of Texas according to 247Sports. Jaydon Blue has been committed to the Longhorns since early February. They also have Maalik Murphy committed already who is the eighth best quarterback in the Class of ‘22, and the No. 8 recruit in California. Armani Winfield is one of the more underrated receiver in the Class of 2022, and the Longhorns still have the chance for Evan Stewart to recommit. If Steve Sarkisian grab another receiver like Stewart or even Kevin Coleman I think Texas will be in great shape going forward.
