Four-Star Safety Bryce Anderson Commits to Texas A&M University

Bryce Anderson Commits to Texas A&M

Jimbo FIsher has been on fire as of late on the recruiting cycle. After a pretty impactful June & a few major recruiting get-togethers the Aggies have stayed very relevant in the news streams. On Friday the Aggies landed one of their biggest recruits of the year with Bryce Anderson announcing his commitment over the Texas Longhorns

Bryce Anderson is a four-star safety out of West Brook High School in Beaumont, Texas. Anderson also plays quarterback for the Bruins, but is committed to play safety at the next level. According to 247Sports he is 6’0, 190-pounds and regarded as the No. 3 safety in the Class of 2022. He has 43 offers from some of the biggest names in college football. Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Ohio State, Notre Dame; you name it, he has an offer from them.

As mentioned earlier Texas A&M has had a lot of events for recruits to come to this offseason. During these events it was common to a handful of highly-touted recruits together; many leaving with high praises. Recently the Aggies hosted a BBQ/Swim Party for recruits where five-stars like Jacoby Mathews, Omari Abor, & Walter Nolen were present. Bryce Anderson was also present, and announced he was ready to make his commitment shortly after the visit.

Back in September of 2019 we saw Anderson announce that he would be committing to the LSU Tigers. Of course the Tigers have a reputation of being “DBU” and developing many NFL caliber defensive backs. However in January 2021 Bryce decommitted from LSU, and has been favoring Alabama, Texas, and Texas A&M ever since. This commitment is a huge win for the Aggies, proving once again that the University of Texas isn’t back just yet.
