Evan Stewart is a wide out at Frisco Liberty High School in Frisco, Texas. He is 6’0, 175-pounds and ranked as the No. 5 wide receiver in the Class of 2022 according to 247Sports. Currently he is the Longhorns second best commitment of this recruiting cycle. This now gives the Longhorns the No. 5 overall recruiting class in the Class of 2022, and the No. 1 in the Big-12.

Schools like Alabama, Oregon, Maryland and many others all offered Stewart. In total 35 different schools have offered a scholarship to Evan. Steve Sarkisian being named head coach at Texas was a big reason why he wanted to stay in state. Devonta Smith has a similar build and play style to Stewart, and he was very excited to get to work with Sarkisian because of that.

This is Texas’ fourth commitment in the month of February and we still have a little over a week to go. He joins Armani Winfield as the only two wide receivers currently committed to Texas.  The Horns will now be looking to add to that group by possibly luring in four-star athlete, Brenen Thompson. Denver Harris and Devon Campbell are also both currently Crystal Ball’d to the Longhorns as well.
