Plenty of teams have been hot in recruiting recently but LSU might just be the hottest. Fresh off landing defensive studs like Jaxon Howard & Dashawn Womack, the Tigers now are cooking with the offense. Five-star wide receiver Jalen Brown announced on Friday that he will be committing to LSU.

Jalen Brown is a five-star wide receiver for Gulliver Prep out of Miami, Florida. According to 247Sports he is the No. 29 overall prospect in the ‘23 cycle, and the No. 4 overall wide receiver. He has 34 offers but it really came down to Miami, Michigan and LSU in the end. Brown credits the overall environment and the coaching staff when talking about why LSU became his new home.
This is now the seventh commitment for the Tigers in July and it has only been a week. They have quickly jumped into the Top-10 for the 2023 cycle and show no sign of slowing down. A majority of the talent has come from the defensive side of the ball so Brown’s commitment is even sweeter. They have been able to land prospects from 10 different states and are in play for tons of talent still.
LSU very well could land a Top-3 class for the 2023 cycle at this pace. Brian Kelly has done wonders with his first recruiting class without tapping into the Boot’s talent. There has been a lot of speculation throughout social media about his ability to actually be able to recruit and I think those questions are being answered.
