Back in March we saw four-star quarterback Nick Evers commit to the University of Florida. As you may know by now however the Gators just got a new head coach thus some things are going to be changing. One of those things tends to be recruiting classes, and after meeting with new head coach Billy Napier, Nick Evers has decided to decommit from the University of Florida.
Nick Evers is a four-star quarterback for Flower Mound High School in Flower Mound, Texas. According to 247Sports he is the 10th best quarterback in the Class of 2022, and the 26th overall recruit in Texas. He stands 6’3, and weighs in at 188-pounds but plays a lot more physically than that weight.
With 26 offers it is rather still up in the air where Evers could land. He hasn’t given any clues yet, and only took a visit to Gainesville during his recruitment. I wouldn’t be surprised if teams like Boise State, Cincinnati and Oklahoma all pursued him heavily.
The University of Florida now has nine commits left in 2022, and is ranked 57th overall. Evers joins recruits like Terrance Gibbs, and Isaiah Bond who recently have decommitted as well. Bond has since committed to Alabama which actually happened earlier this evening.
