Odell Beckham Jr’s 2020 has been tough, but things took a turn for the worst Sunday afternoon. During the Cleveland Browns game against the Cincinnati Bengals Odell went down with a knee injury on just the second play of the game. Baker Mayfield’s pass was intercepted by Darius Phillips, and Beckham got tangled up trying to make a tackle.
Monday morning OBJ underwent an MRI to confirm the tear in his left ACL. The NFL world sent out plenty of support to the Pro Bowl wide receiver.
Ever since being traded to the Cleveland Browns Odell has battled injuries left and right. In 2019 he played the entire season with a core muscle injury that required surgery to repair during the off-season. He also suffered hip and groin injuries during training camp of last year as well.
Even with all those injuries though he still managed to record his 5th 1,000 yard receiving season. He finished the year with 74 catches for 1,035 yards and four touchdowns.
While the Browns were able to narrowly escape with a win against the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday, there is no question they will miss OBJ’s talent on the field. So far this season Odell Beckham Jr had 23 receptions for 319 yards and three touchdowns along with three rushes for 72 yards and a touchdown.
