Another day, another top wide receiver committing to the Ohio State Buckeyes. News broke that Kyion Grayes would be taking a weekend visit to Columbus earlier this week. Sunday morning four-star wide out Kyion Grayes announced his decision to commit to the Buckeyes via social media.
Coming out Chandler, Arizona Grayes stands 6’1 and currently weighs 170-pounds. He plays receiver at Arizona powerhouse Chandler High School helping the Wolves capture another State title in 2020. Kyion wasn’t the only top recruit on the team either. The Wolves also had players like Mikey Keene, Eli Sanders and Nason Coleman. They are the No. 1 team in the state of Arizona and the No. 5 team in the entire nation according to MaxPreps.
Just a few days prior to his commitment five-star wide receiver Caleb Burton and four-star athlete Dasan McCullough hinted on social media “something big was coming this weekend.” The two have been very active on social media as the lead recruiters for the ‘22 Ohio State class.
Grayes was originally committed to the University of Arizona back in August. After receiving an offer from the Buckeyes and seeing Quinn Ewers commit there as well, Kyion decided to reopen his recruitment. In mid-December the Chandler native announced his decommitment from Arizona.
This is now the Buckeyes 11th commitment in the ‘22 recruiting cycle. The potential that Ohio State will be working with on offense is truly spectacular. Kyion Grayes will now be catching passes for the nation’s No. 1 prospect Quinn Ewers and line up alongside receivers like Emeka Egbuka, Marvin Harrison Jr, and Caleb Burton. Not to mention ‘21’s No. 1 running back TreVeyon Henderson running behind offensive lineman like Donovan Jackson and Paris Johnson Jr.
