After weeks of speculation we finally know where Raesjon Davis will be going to school. We saw Davis decommit from LSU back in December, and all signs pointed towards the Cali-native staying home.
Raesjon Davis is a four-star outside linebacker from the California powerhouse Mater Dei High School. 247Sports ranks him as the third best player in the state of California and the fourth best outside linebacker in the country. He held 23 D1 offers which included schools like LSU, Ohio State, Alabama, Auburn, and Michigan.
Davis said his decision really came down to Ohio State and USC, but USC felt like home for him. In the beginning of his recruiting process, USC wasn’t really in the picture. During the season though Raesjon Davis felt the Trojans had shown a lot of improvement as a football program.
He joins the No. 1 player in the Class of 2021, Korey Foreman, along with fellow outside linebacker Julien Simon. USC has struggled the past few years in retaining the elite talent in the state of California. For the first time in awhile USC can say they have landed at least four of the top 10 players in the state. The Trojans finished with the 8th best 2021 recruiting class, and 2nd in the Pac-12 behind Oregon.
