At 12:44 AM Russell Wilson tweeted out to the City of Seattle that he agreed to a new contract with the team.
At $140 Million over the next four years, $35 million a year, Wilson become the highest paid player ever. His agent Mark Rodgers said the no-trade clause clinched the deal for him, keeping him in Seattle through the 2023 season.
Seattle can now head into the 2019 NFL season with one less thing to worry about, and now have their leader locked in to go chase more Super Bowls.
