The Baltimore Ravens Walk All Over the Washington Football Team 31-17

Baltimore Ravens vs Washington Football Team

After a very rough game last Monday vs the Chiefs, the Baltimore Ravens bounced back in a big way against the Washington Football Team. Lamar Jackson led the way with 243 total yards and three total touchdowns as the Ravens dominated the Washington Football Team 31-17.

Washington would start off with the ball first, but thanks to a forced fumble by Marlon Humphrey, it was Baltimore who would reach the end zone first. The Ravens recovered the fumble, completed a 33-yard pass to Marquise Brown, and Mark Ingram II punched in a 1-yard touchdown run. In under a minute the Ravens were able to turn their turnover into points.

After a few punts, and a missed field goal, Baltimore would again strike quickly against Washington’s defense. It would only take two plays, and a 50-yard touchdown run from Lamar Jackson for the Ravens to build their lead to 14-0. Dwayne Haskins would complete 5 out of his 6 pass attempts on Washington’s next drive, setting up a two-yard Antonio Gibson touchdown run.

Mark Andrews had a big game hauling in three receptions for 57 yards and two touchdowns. His first touchdown of the game would help the Ravens push their lead to 21-7. Haskins and the Washington offense tried to answer back, but only could amount to a 43-yard Dustin Hopkins field goal.

That would pretty much be it for the Washington offense, as they wouldn’t score again until there was just two minutes left in the game. Dwayne Haskins took it himself for the meaningless one-yard score. Baltimore would recover the onside kick attempt, thus essentially ending the game.

Dwayne Haskins threw the ball 45 times and had 314 passing yards and one rushing touchdown. Washington’s rookie running back, Antonio Gibson, had the best game of his young career with 128 total scrimmage yards, and one rushing touchdown. Terry McLaurin tied a career high with 10 receptions for 118 yards.

Baltimore Ravens rookie linebacker, Patrick Queen, led the team in tackles once again with 12 total tackles and three tackles for a loss. Marcus Peters recovered the fumble forced by Marlon Humphrey to go along with his two tackles on the day. Mark Ingram II had eight carries for 34 yards and a touchdown while Marquise Brown led the Ravens with four receptions for 86 yards.

Now sitting at 3-1, the Baltimore Ravens will take on the Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium for a Week 5 AFC North showdown. Washington will stay home to take on the 3-1 Los Angeles Rams at FedEx Field.
