James & Tommy Brockermeyer Commit to the University of Alabama

Being a Fort Worth native, it isn’t often we someone from the area ranked as one of the best players in the state, let alone in the country. What makes this even more special? Well it isn’t just one player, its two.

Actually they are twins.

Tommy Brockermeyer is currently the No. 1 overall offensive tackle, and the 5th best player in the entire nation according to 247Sports.com. His brother, James Brockermeyer, is the No. 1 center in the nation, and the 32nd best player in Texas.

Tommy has had a list of his final five schools posted since early December of 2019, which includes Texas, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, and Clemson. James’ final four list looks very similar to his brothers, which he posted on May 25th. That list is composed of Auburn, Alabama, Texas and LSU.

On Friday they announced via Twitter that they would both be committing to the University of Alabama. This gives Alabama a huge jump in the 247Sports recruiting rankings, going from 13th to 6th for the Class of 2021.

The Crimson Tide’s Class of 2021 already has 5 star tackle JC Latham, and could see the No. 2 guard in the nation, Terrence Ferguson, commit on Sunday.

The Under Armour All-American duo attend All Saints Episcopal School in Fort Worth, Texas and are rated as 5-star and 4-star prospects respectively. At 12 PM CST both brothers announced what universities they would be pursuing their careers further at.

Football runs deep in the  Brockermeyer bloodline. Their father, Blake Brockermeyer, was an All-American at the University of Texas and played in the NFL for nine seasons. They currently have an older brother, Luke Brockermeyer, who plays linebacker at the University of Texas.
