It has been nearly a month since the Longhorns landed their last commit Bryan Allen Jr out of Aledo, Texas. On Tuesday evening however, that short drought ended. Texas got the announcement that Kristopher Ross will be joining their ‘22 class via social media.
Kris Ross is a three-star defensive tackle out of North Shore High School in Houston, Texas. The North Shore Mustangs are one of Texas’ powerhouse football programs producing tons of D1 talent every year. Ross helped the Mustangs to a 14-1 record this year and nearly made it to their third-straight state championship game.
There were 15 schools that offered Kristopher a scholarship including Miami, LSU, and Auburn. His recruitment received a pretty big spike during his junior season with the Mustangs. However, his final three schools ended up being USC, Oklahoma, and the Texas Longhorns.
Texas has the 8th best recruiting class in the ‘22 cycle. Ross gives them their fourth commitment on the defensive side of the ball, and have a few other star names trending their way. Recently North Shore teammate, Denver Harris, was crystal balled to the Longhorns too. Players like Devon Campbell and Bryce Anderson are also high on the Longhorns list of prospects.
