Schools like Ole Miss, LSU, and Utah all offered the Arlington native but his top three schools were Baylor, Texas and Texas Tech.
This the Longhorns fifth commitment of 2022, and third in the last two weeks. Maalik Murphy is the nation’s No. 2 pro-style quarterback, and a five-star prospect. Texas also has commitments from four-star running back Jaydon Blue and four-star receiver Armani Winfield. It will be interesting to see who else will be joining Johnson and the rest of Texas’ 2022 class.
