At the beginning of the month Jordan Crook started hinting at where he will commit. Earlier Tuesday morning we finally got the announcement we were waiting for. The Duncanville product is going to be heading to Oklahoma State University.
Jordan Crook is a three-star inside linebacker for one of Texas’ top powerhouse schools, Duncanville High School. The Panthers were able to go 10-2 last year and only lost to IMG Academy and Southlake Carroll High School. 247Sports ranks him as the 14th inside linebacker in the country and one of the best linebackers in the state of Texas. Some people may question his size (6’0), but he is built like a tank (225-pounds).
Despite his smaller stature, Crook has run up plenty of scholarship offers. As of Tuesday he held 27 offers from schools like USC, Michigan and LSU. The schools that were really in the running for Jordan were Baylor, Colorado, Arkansas and Oklahoma State though. He credits Oklahoma State for being one of the most consistent schools that talked to him during his recruitment.
This now gives Oklahoma State eight commitments for 2022. Jordan Crook is the latest North Texas star to join the class. Euless Trinity running back Ollie Gordon, and Frisco Lonestar quarterback Garret Rangel are also committed to the Cowboys already. They are still the third best recruiting class in the Big-12, but now ranked 10th in the nation overall. Oklahoma State was able to bag five commitments in just an 11-day span in February, and looks to keep the ball rolling in March.
