Earlier today Ollie Gordon simply tweeted out,
“Commit tonight or what??”
He would follow through later in the day announcing where he would be attending college. The three-star running back announced he will be committing to Oklahoma State University. Gordon held offers from schools like TCU, Missouri, BYU, and Michigan but picked the Pokes over them all.
Ollie Gordon is a three-star running back in the Class of 2022, and plays for Trinity Euless High School. In 2020 alone he rushed for 2,083 yards and 28 touchdowns. He was able to help the Trojans advance to the UIL Texas 6A Playoff Quarterfinals. They would lose a close game against the State runner-ups, Southlake Carroll High School.
He credits the Cowboys ability to produce NFL caliber running backs as one of the reasons why he wanted to commit with the school. Chris Carson and Chuba Hubbard were two names that immediately came to mind for Ollie. By the time it is time for Gordon to step foot on campus the starting running back role should be fairly open too. Overall I think believe this is a great place for Gordon’s skillset as well.
This is Oklahoma State’s third commitment for their 2022 recruiting class. Ollie Gordon joins inside linebacker Gabe Brown and four-star athlete CJ Brown (no relation to each other). Gordon will join a load of North Texas talent in Stillwater. After finishing with the 3rd best recruiting class in the Big-12 last year, the Cowboys are off to a good start in 2021.
