You can’t keep Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers down for long. Just days after losing a tough game to Ohio State in the CFB Semi-Finals, they now have something to rebound their sadness off of. Tristan Leigh, five-star offensive tackle out of Fairfax, Virginia, announced his commitment to the Tigers.
Tristan Leigh attends Robinson Secondary High School along with his little brother Aidan. According to 247Sports Leigh is the No. 4 OT in the Class of 2021. He is already a massive human weighing in at 270-pounds and standing 6’5. I am sure D.J. Uiagalelei will be happy to have him blocking up front for him. This is the best offensive lineman to commit to the Tigers since Jackson Carman did back in 2018.
The Oklahoma Sooners were rumored to be heavy favorites to land Tristan down the stretch. Caleb Williams, Oklahoma’s future QB, had been a major recruiter for Leigh’s talents. Ohio State, and LSU were also in the mix as well, but ultimately he was the Tigers to land.
He will be joining the 4th ranked recruiting class of the 2021 cycle, and the top player in Clemson’s class. This now gives Clemson three five-star prospects including running back Will Shipley and outside linebacker Barrett Carter. The Tigers also have two four-star offensive guards committed to them as well, Dietrick Pennington and Marcus Tate.
