Just a few weeks ago we saw Malachi Nelson, the No. 2 quarterback in the Class of 2023, announce his commitment to the Sooners. The day before that, the No. 3 running back in 2023 Treyuan Webb announced his commitment to the Sooners. On Friday Lincoln Riley and the Oklahoma Sooners added yet another elite prospect to their 2023 recruiting class in four-star tight end Luke Hasz.
Luke Hasz is a four-star tight end out of Bixby High School in Bixby, Oklahoma. He is currently the No. 2 tight end in the nation & the No. 1 player in the state of Oklahoma. According to 247Sports Hasz stands 6’3 & weighs in at 220-pounds. He currently has 32 offers on the table, and has only been playing the sport for a little over a year. Schools like Alabama, Ohio State, Texas A&M and Penn State were just a few of the schools that have offered Luke football scholarships.
As I stated earlier, the Sooners are HOT right now on the 2023 recruiting trail. With Hasz commitment the Sooners are now right under Georgia for the No. 2 class in the 2023 cycle. The Sooners are also favorites in landing highly touted prospects like Lebbeus Overton & Brandon Inniss in the Class of 2023.
Malachi Nelson has been a big influence on Luke’s decision to come to Oklahoma. Nelson & Hasz have developed a friendship through social media and talk regularly. Obviously the offensive side of the ball has been loaded for years now but defensive prospects like Billy Bowman & Clayton Smith could be players to finally get Oklahoma to compete with Clemson, Ohio State & Alabama.
