5-Star OT Weston Davis Flips from Texas A&M to LSU

LSU & Texas A&M battle for a TON of recruits in the East Texas area and the Tigers are jumping on the downfall of Texas A&M football right now. One of those major talents the two have been battling for just announced he will be flipping his commitment from A&M to LSU, and that’s five-star offensive tackle Weston Davis.
On3 has Davis ranked as the No. 3 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 18 overall recruit in the Class. He plays for Beaumont United High School which is located about 3 hours east of Texas A&M University and 3 hours west of LSU. He’s got over 25 offers and took official visits to Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, and of course LSU and Texas A&M. Prior to making his flip to the Tigers, Davis was the Aggies 2nd highest rated commitment in their class according to On3.
Davis is not only an elite offensive lineman, he also gets buckets for Beaumont United. As a matter of fact, he’s actually only been playing football since the start of his HS career. Weston looks to become a student of the game and really get the fundamentals down. He said after his junior year
“I just need to understand more about what I need to do at my position. I've only played 22 games of football my whole life.”

5-Star OT
As mentioned earlier, East Texas is a huge battle ground for a lot of SEC teams, but the Tigers dominate those recruiting trails like no other. They now currently have three of the best talents in that area joining guys like Xavier Atkins and Jelani Watkins. Guys like Ory Williams and Davhon Keys are also from the Lonestar state and committed to this ‘24 class. He also is the 5th offensive linemen in the boat as well. I am sure four-star QB commit Colin Hurley is happy to have them.
They are currently the 9th best class in the 2024 recruiting cycle right now according to 247Sports. With more dominant wins, and possibly another Heisman winning quarterback under their belt, this LSU recruiting class could see more key additions by signing day.
