Last week we saw the Alabama Crimson Tide swoop in and steal Ty Simpson from the Clemson Tigers. It didn’t take long for the Tigers to find their next star quarterback prospect though. Nearly immediately after finding out they missed Simpson it was announced Clemson had offered Cade Klubnik.
It didn’t take long for the Austin native to make up his mind on Clemson either. Just a few days after receiving his offer from Dabo Swinney, Cade Klubnik has committed to the Clemson Tigers. He posted a four-minute commitment video on social media announcing his decision.
Over 30 schools have extended an offer to Klubnik including names like Florida State, Texas A&M, Georgia, and many more. His parents are both Texas A&M graduates giving many the idea that the Aggies would be the favorite in the situation. Florida and North Carolina were also some schools that were high on Cade’s list.
This finally gives the Tigers an identity behind D.J. Uiagalelei. Clemson currently has four commits in the boat for their ‘22 Class, and Cade Klubnik leads that pack. All four of the Tigers’ commitments are on the offensive side of the ball. Collin Sadler and Blake Miller are both four-star offensive tackles and Adam Randall is a four-star wide receiver.
