Four-Star WR Quaydarius Davis Commits to Jackson State University

Quaydarius Davis

After a rollercoaster of a recruitment four-star wide receiver Quaydarius Davis has found a home. Davis announced Tuesday evening that he would be committing to Jackson State University. With his commitment to the school, Quay now becomes the highest rated football recruit to land on Jackson State’s campus.

Quaydarius Davis is a 6’0, 193-pound wide receiver out of Skyline High School in Dallas, TX. He holds 22 offers from schools like USC, Texas, and even Alabama. Dallas Skyline used him all over the field last season and Davis finished with over 850 total yards and 12 touchdowns.

Back in February we saw Davis commit to the University of Kansas and become their highest rated recruit ever for the time being. In late March however the Jayhawks had parted ways with Davis, and allowed him to break his NLI with the school. Even before committing to Kansas, Davis was also previously committed to USC, and SMU before decommitting from each program.

When talking about his opportunity to work with Deion Sanders at Jackson State, Quaydarius Davis was quoted by Brian Dohn from 247Sports saying,

“”It’s going to be a great experience… He’s a Hall of Famer. Not too many people get chance like that. He going to teach me a lot. I have to learn a lot. There is going to be a lot to it.”.

Deion Sanders has done exactly what he was asked to do when hired at JSU, and that is to bring attention to the program. He has already been able to pile together some of the best football players to ever put on a Tigers uniform. According to 247Sports 12 of the 13 best players ever recruited to the school are from this 2021 recruiting class. That includes four-stars like KaTron Evans, De’Jahn Warren, and Deion’s son himself Shedeur Sanders.
