North Shore Walks All Over Crowley 42-0

After a rare stumble in their season opener, the North Shore Mustangs reminded everyone why they’re a perennial Texas powerhouse. The Mustangs steamrolled Crowley 42–0 on Friday night at Galena Park ISD Stadium, showcasing explosive offense, a suffocating defense, and a sense of urgency to get back on track.
Quarterback Kaleb Maryland stole the show, putting together the best performance of his young career. The sophomore signal-caller threw for 188 yards and four touchdowns on just 15 attempts, carving up the Crowley secondary with efficiency and poise. His ability to push the ball downfield early set the tone, giving North Shore a multi-score lead before halftime.

While Maryland shined through the air, the Mustangs’ rushing attack kept Crowley on its heels all night. North Shore mixed in a steady dose of physical runs to complement the passing game, chewing up yardage and clock while wearing down the Eagles’ defense. The offensive line controlled the trenches from start to finish, giving their playmakers the space to create.
Equally impressive was the North Shore defense, which pitched a complete shutout. Crowley never found rhythm, struggling to move the chains and rarely crossing midfield. The Mustangs’ front seven lived in the backfield, collapsing pockets and stuffing the run. By the fourth quarter, North Shore had rotated in depth players—yet still held Crowley scoreless, a testament to the program’s depth.
North Shore (1–1) now shifts focus to a heavyweight clash on the road against Spring Westfield next Friday night—a matchup that will provide a much stiffer test. Meanwhile, Crowley (0–2) will try to regroup when they face Dallas Skyline.
