Spring TXHSFB Breakdown

Coppell –

The Coppell Cowboys were one of the biggest surprises last season for many. North Crowley has even gone on record that this was the hardest team they had to play. That was last year though, this year they have over 40 new faces that are replacing nearly every starter on the team.

Carter Zingelmann is a ’28 transfer quarterback that looks all of 6’5, and has a track background too. This season might be his first in the UIL, but will be a huge teller of just how high his ceiling can be.

Tyrell & Tyree Roberson are the only returning starters for this squad and that was pretty obvious in practice. I expect them both to continue a great DB legacy as of late for Coppell.

Jaimeon Winfield –

Jaimeon Winfield was the first athlete this spring I saw completely take over a practice. Run defense, pass defense; it didn’t matter. Winfield was one of those players you have to pull to the side in practice to see a realistic version of your play calls. USC is getting a freak on the defensive line. Richardson High School was able to make into the 2nd round of the playoff last year before meeting Allen, and should be able to have anther successful season coming soon.

North Crowley Secondary –

The Panthers are coming off a state championship season looking to repeat and with a secondary like theirs it’s hard not to make them early favorites once again. Between their 4 starting DBs there are over 100 D1 Offers & have the confidence to back up the offers.
