The Kansas City Chiefs Take Down the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII

Despite seemingly all the odds during the regular season, the Kansas City Chiefs are your Super Bowl LVIII champions. The Chiefs and 49ers went blow for blow the entire game, even going into overtime, giving us one of the more thrilling Super Bowls in recent memory.

This was the second time in NFL history we saw a Super Bowl go into overtime thanks to Patrick Mahomes connecting with Travis Kelce on a 22-yard reception that helped Harrison Butker knock down a game tying 29-yard field goal with 3 seconds on the clock.

In that overtime we saw Mahomes continue to do what he does best, and that’s show up when it matters. He was able to come up with two huge runs in overtime to keep the Chiefs alive, and put an end to a spectacular game with a three-yard touchdown to Mecole Hardman Jr.

With their 25-22 victory over San Francisco the Chiefs became the first team in almost 20 years to win back to back Super Bowls. As amazing as that sounds, Patrick Mahomes and the crew already have their sights set on a three-peat. This has NEVER been done before in NFL history, but if anyone was to do it I would bet on Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes now has three Super Bowls under his belt in just six years of starting in the NFL (He sat a majority of his 1st NFL season behind Alex Smith). He was also named MVP of each of those Super Bowl wins, and already has two league MVPs as well. The case is quickly building for Patrick Mahomes to actually become the best quarterback in NFL history, some may already believe that, but let us know what you think down below.
