The Arch Manning effect is already taking Austin by storm. Since his commitment the University of Texas has added star prospects like Derek Williams, Trevor Goosby & Jonah Wilson. Wednesday evening that list got even longer with the commitment from three-star offensive lineman Andre Cojoe.
Andre Cojoe is a 6’6, 330-pound offensive lineman from Mansfield, Texas. Cojoe currently plays offensive tackle for Mansfield Timberview High School. He holds offers from 12 schools and recently visited TCU, Vanderbilt, and Texas before making his commitment.
Texas landed commitments from five commitments Sunday, four of them being offensive lineman. Connor Stroh & Jaydon Chatman both announced their commitments along with Trevor Goosby flipping his commitment from TCU. This recent wave of commitments has pushed Texas’ class into the Top-5 for the Class of 2023.
With major commitments still waiting to be announced, the Longhorns very well could walk away with the No. 1 class in 2023. Elite defenders like Anthony Hill Jr, Malik Muhammad, and Derion Gullete are still heavily favored for Texas. We also have recruits like Johntay Cook II and Richard Young that could very well be Longhorns by signing day as well. Only time will tell but thus far Steve Sarkisian has been extremely impressive in recruiting.
