The LSU Tigers have landed yet another defensive back to their ‘23 class. Just a few days after landing four-star edge rusher Jaxon Howard LSU is staying hot on the defensive side of the ball. Three-star defensive back Ashton Stamps announced via afootballaddict.com that he will be committing to LSU.
Ashton Stamps is a three-star defensive back for Archbishop Rummel High School. So far six schools have offered Stamps including Missouri, Nebraska and Tulane. Once the LSU offer came in though it made the decision pretty easy to make. The Raiders have produced star LSU Tigers before with Ja’Marr Chase and Kristian Fulton most recently being a few.
This now moves their recruiting class into the Top-40 for the 2023 cycle. The Tigers now have five commits on the defensive side of the ball for LSU, and four in the secondary. Four-star defensive prospects like Jaxon Howard, Daylen Austin, and Ryan Yaites headline the class so far. Brian Kelly has done a great job at recruiting on a national level landing top talent in more than six states now.
